- Positive emotions expand possibilities. According to Fredrickson’s Broaden-and-Build Theory (2009), leaders who cultivate optimism and hope expand their capacity to solve problems and seize opportunities.

- Release condition-based thinking. Focusing on limitations strengthens them.
- Focus on creation. Directing attention to what you want to build primes your brain to seek resources and opportunities to make it real.
